As per the recent report unveiled at GSMA Mobile World Congress 2015, capex investment will reach $1.4 trillion from 2015-2020. Under the backdrop of increasing capital expenditures (CAPEX) and revenue growth that is failing to keep pace, operators are now faced with a critical and immediate need to optimize CAPEX practices while improving service efficiency.

To study the network asset management program and CAPEX practices within the operators,
TM Forum Asset Management project team met with dozens of operators worldwide and commissioned an industry survey.

Subex is pleased to share first of its-kind industry survey report with TM Forum which provides insights into asset misalignment, asset visibility and capacity management.

The report validates that network CAPEX remains the largest budgetary line item with virtually every operator today but it’s not getting enough attention. Most of the surveyed operators are not able to answer:

The LEAF Patient Monitoring System helps prevent hospital-acquired pressure injuries, which in turn raises quality of care and lowers costs.

Regular repositioning of patients is critical for preventing hospital acquired pressure injuries (HAPIs), which raise the risk of morbidity and mortality and are a major contributor to high healthcare costs. Wearable wireless sensors such as the LEAF Patient Monitoring System can be a valuable adjunct to HAPI prevention by monitoring patients’ body positions and sending repositioning reminders to hospital staff. The LEAF system offers several advanced features, including the ability to set patient-specific parameters for the frequency and angle of repositioning, visual cues and automatic documentation of compliance with repositioning protocols. Several studies have demonstrated the positive impact of the LEAF system on repositioning compliance, HAPI prevention and quality of care. Using the wearable sensors could result in an annualized cost reduction of $6.2 million, one recent study suggested.
